It's a rather recent tradition, to be sure, but the writing marathon known as NaNoWriMo has fast become a cherished tradition within the writing community.
It's a perfect way to get a first draft done before heading into the holiday season with a real sense of accomplishment.
The starter pistol went off at midnight. Are you tappity-tappity-tapping? Or scribble-scribble-scribbling? If you've never NaNo-ed before, join in! If you're a returning veteran like me, happy writing!
